Turning in My Mom Badge

My three-year-old still isn't potty trained.  I offered my 10-year-old $10 to help me with the job.  It worked great.  For exactly twenty-four hours.

I just broke up a quarrel between three children.   Two wanted to come downstairs.  One demanded the password.  The other two decided to rush the gate.  One got hit "accidently" as she broke through  and #2 got hit because she was looking at him "strangely".   I offered them some chores until they could get along in peace.  From the sounds I'm hearing from the other room it sounds like my house will soon be immaculate.

Domingo is heading back to Guatemala at the end of the month.  He has been a terrific employee.  We will miss him but are very glad that he will be rejoining his family.

I forgot to get someone to teach Hebrews 12 tomorrow.  By default I guess I'm elected.

I wish that mom lived nearby.  I'd drop off five kids and pick them up next week  tomorrow.   It's a bit discouraging that children want to eat three meals every day.  And snacks.

Donna Reed would have this all figured out in 30 minutes.  I think she does it better.

  2. You always make me smile, and laugh. You'll look back on these posts in a few years and chuckle yourself when you see how far you've come.

Love the snow pictures. We've had none just yet to stick to the ground.

  3. "I offered them some chores until they could get along in peace." I'm sorry Holly, but that statement alone makes so you can't get rid of your mom badge! That was a great thing to do! =)
